There are many expenses in every day that, both as individuals and as businesses, we grudgingly accede to or even avoid if we think we can get away with it….

Everyone knows that insurance is one such grudge purchase that no one enjoys paying for, but is very welcome when the proverbial mango hits the rotating air impeller. The same applies to business owners, who all to often consider Health and safety systems and investment to be a grudge purchase when set of against capital equipment investment, operating costs and all the myriads of things that collectively make the business work.

And just as with any other insurance, a compliant health and safety system is a grudge purchase until you need it. The consequences of not meeting the legislated requirements for health and safety can be dire, from fines, to business closure or worse. I wont even mention the moral imperative around securing the well being of your people. They make your business work.

An investment in a compliant safety and health management system and culture is insurance which no business should be without.
